The Level Program
Level 1
(Ages 6-8, 0-1 year of experience)
This is where it all begins! Dancers will learn the basic foundations of ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop,
and acro. Expect a lot of fun, but with a focus on technique, body alignment, and building
strength and flexibility. It’s all about introducing the joy of dance while setting up good habits for
future growth. Dancers are encouraged to take ballet alongside any other class for a solid base.
Level 4
(Mixed Age & Experience, Based on Style):
Level 4 is designed for dancers of a mix of ages and experience, tailored to each dancer’s
skill level and specific styles. This class allows for a more personalized approach, where
dancers are grouped based on their proficiency in particular dance styles rather than just age.
Whether you're preparing for a drill team audition, diving into musical theatre, or looking to
enhance your overall technique by our stretch and strength class, this level offers specialized
training. Expect to work on precision, advanced techniques, and performance qualities.
Level 7
(Ages 13-18, 5+ years of experience):
This is for our advanced dancers! Level 7 is all about perfecting technique and mastering more
intricate and complex movements. Ballet and jazz techniques will become second nature, with a
strong emphasis on artistry and performance quality. Dancers will refine their acro, tap, hip hop,
and leaps/turns to a high level of precision. It’s time to elevate skills and take performance to the
next level.
Level 2
(Ages 8-10, 1-2 years of experience):
This is where things start to click. Dancers will begin to refine their skills with more challenging
moves in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and acro. The emphasis is on building strength, flexibility, and
better alignment while progressing to more complex steps. Ballet is still key, so it’s strongly
recommended to take it alongside other classes.
Level 5
(Ages 12-18, 0-3 years of experience):
For those just stepping into the intermediate level, Level 5 focuses on building on foundational
techniques and advancing to more complex movements. Expect a mix of ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical,
and hip hop with an emphasis on body control and rhythm. This is the stage where dancers
need to start refining their technique in all styles to truly move forward.
Company 7
(Audition-based):
Company 7 is for the dancers who are ready to take their skills and passion to the next level.
This is an audition-based program where dancers will train intensively and compete at high
levels. It’s about pushing limits, working as a team, and representing Studio 7 in competitions
and showcases. Members will not only build their technical skill but also grow emotionally and
mentally as dancers. This program is designed for committed dancers looking to pursue their
goals with discipline and passion.
Level 3
(Ages 10-12, 2-3 years of experience):
At this stage, dancers are developing their technical ability. More advanced ballet, jazz, tap, hip
hop, and acro elements will come into play. Expect intricate movements, more flexibility, and
emotional expression, especially in contemporary. This is a time for dancers to refine their
technique while beginning to add artistry into their work. Consistent ballet and jazz training will
enhance progress.
Level 6
(Ages 11-13, 3-4 years of experience):
Dancers in this level will focus on refining their ballet, jazz, tap, and acro techniques while
integrating more advanced choreography and movement dynamics. Expect more challenging
leaps, turns, and balances. Contemporary and lyrical styles will also play a key role in teaching
expression and creativity. Dancers are encouraged to keep their ballet practice strong for better
all-around technique.
